Vikings vs. United B

I just wanted to put a few pictures on as a preview to what will be coming as soon as I get my pictures developed. I usually take two cameras to the games: my digital (for quick pictures) and my 35 mm with the zoom lens (for better pictures!) I honestly will say that I was hoping that the game would be cancelled so that we could go home and sit by the fire and roast marshmallows with a cup of hot chocolate plus the fact that I was afraid everyone was going to get frostbite and their parents would not be happy with us 'forcing' their boys to play in such adverse weather conditions! But once the snow was on the ground, the numbness set in, and the sun came out, the game became fun....or so I hear....and no one was going to stop the Vikings from winning even though they were give the option by the ref (who probably wanted to go home himself but didn't want to look like a wimp!) So these pictures were taken before the game even started and if you look close enough you can tell that the snow is going horizontally not falling vertically! During the game the guys were slipping and sliding and not able to hold onto the ball but they kept fighting their way to victory!! Way to go Viking Rugby!! By Thursday night I will have the action pictures posted so check back to see what rugby really looks like in the snow! You can see with the pictures how the weather progressively got worse and was sticking to the ground when our team was playing. At one point some of the guys put two sets of Davis' old socks on their hands just so they could keep playing.
